About
Starting programming at the age of 15 I have been hooked on computers for a long time now. They have always fascinated me, so there was no choice but to go deeper into that field. During my time at university a friend and me started developing games. Between 2001 and 2005 we made about a dozen freeware games together, which were all published on different print magazines and even more websites around the globe. Our last one was awarded the "Deutscher Entwicklerpreis 2005 - Bester Nachwuchsentwickler" (German Developer Award - Best Newcomer Talent).
After university, I decided to go for it and become a professional game programmer in 2005. When I started, I did not know what a tough trip the game industry can be. So far, I have been regular programmer, team leader, lead programmer, product owner and even acting studio manager for a while in about a handful of different companies.
Right now I am lead programmer and co-owner at Rough Sea Games GmbH in Mannheim, Germany (www.rough-sea.com).
